The Hot Butter Soul Collective (HBSC), who recently performed 5
songs live on the BBC Radio 2 Russell Brand show, is a contemporary
London-based gospel choir, often featuring a human beatboxer (vocal
percussionist), who can perform anything from traditional classics
to modern covers. They can do this either with or without a PA.
It’s charismatic members are sourced from the music industry where
they work with artists such as Basement Jaxx, Madonna, Elton John,
Gorillaz, Lionel Ritchie and Robbie Williams. Their principal
beatboxer Lianhart recently starred in the hit musical 'Daddy Cool'
and has performed on Radio 1 and with the RPO and the Bolshoi
Ballet.
HBSC was created to perform bespoke repertoires for Selfridges in
London,
which they have done during every Xmas since 2005. Other clients
include The Royal Academy of Arts, St. Pancras International, The
Royal Yacht Hotel in Jersey and Covent Garden.
Their 'a capella' sound can move hearts, minds or feet with a
repertoire and
line-up that can be tailored to your event. They can provide
anything from stunning 'centre-stage' performances to enchanting
background singing.
HBSC pricing varies depending on whether a bespoke or standard
repertoire is required, number of singers, whether or not a
beatboxer is included, size of venue, travel distance, start and
finish times and the nature of the function. Please note that
when a beatboxer is present the range of songs that can be performed
by the human voice is much increased. HBSC can also supply and
collaborate with instrumental musicians if requested.
