Phat Medallion is a disco
tribute band formed in early 2001. Comprised of a group
of dedicated musicians, we aim to bring the excitement
and fun of the late 1970s disco craze back to the dance
floor.
Phat Medallion is a
complete, self-contained package. When you book us you
will be provided with a six piece live band dressed in
period costume playing authentic disco hits. Typically,
we play for two 45 minute sets in an evening, but this
can be adjusted as required. We use our own 1.8kW public
address system and lighting, and as such have the
facility to also provide pre-recorded music to entertain
your audience when the band are not playing - just burn
us your favourite mix of songs onto CD and we'll play
them for you!
We perform a wide range of
songs from the golden era of disco, including such
classic tracks as "Le Freak", "Lost in Music", "Disco
Inferno", "He's the Greatest Dancer" and "I will
Survive". Our wide repertoire of tracks by artists such
as Chic, The Bee Gees, Abba, KC and the Sunshine Band,
Hot Chocolate, The Real Thing and Sister Sledge
guarantee your event will be a huge success, with the
dance floor filled from the first number to the last!
If the occasion requires
it, we can also offer sets of Motown classics like
"Respect", "Higher and Higher" and "Midnight Hour", as
well as more contemporary chart hits such as "Groovejet",
"Movin' on Up" and "Sing it back". Special requests may
also be accommodated if notice of at least one month is
given.
