Karen
began playing the piano at the age of 4 and working as a
professional musician 10 years later. She studied piano and violin
at Trinity College of Music in London, graduating with an honours
degree.
Her playing career has seen her in many
different roles: as cocktail pianist/singer on cruise ships and in
5-star hotels both in the UK and abroad; keyboard/vocalist with
various bands, often working with international cabaret artistes; MD
for production companies on land and at sea; classical recitals;
songwriter; accompanist; repetiteur; arranger - if it's musical,
she's probably been involved!
Highlights so far have been 3 years as resident
pianist in the Intercontinental Hotel in Park Lane, London;
contracts with P&O cruises on the ships Arcadia, Artemis and Oceana;
classical/cocktail pianist on MS Deutschland (the german 'love
boat'); performing as accompanist at the Wigmore Hall; opera pianist

With a repertoire covering music from Chopin to
Cole Porter, from Albeniz to Alicia Keys, from South Pacific to
Phantom of the Opera, and from Scott Joplin to Elton John and Norah
Jones, Karen's distinctive voice, timeless piano style and easy chat
are suitable for any venue.
