Stipe are the definitive
R.E.M tribute band. Formed in 1996 by Rick Southern
(vocals), the band has performed throughout theUK and
Europe to appreciative R.E.M. fans. Stipe’s unique
ability to perform both upbeat, energetic, lively shows
and more relaxed, mellow performances have placed the
band in high demand.
The band has over thirty
five R.E.M songs in their repertoire and his list is
continuing to grow. There are many tribute bands that
claim to be "the ultimate" or "the U.K’s No.1", but
Stipe take this to another level, on-stage their
enthusiasm and energy make compelling viewing,
maintaining the essence that is R.E.M.
