Rachael
Gladwin has been playing the lever harp since the age of five, and
is now balancing a diverse career as a professional musician and
community artist with a music degree at the Liverpool Institute for
Performing Arts.
Working all over the North West,
Rachael Gladwin is a harpist, vocalist, percussionist, songwriter
and composer and encompasses all styles from classical and jazz to
folk and pop. She can provide background or focused performance on
the harp for weddings or any function/event.
Rachael has been playing the harp professionally for seven years and
has performed at a huge variety of venues from The Albert Hall in
London and The Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, to Glastonbury
Festival and pyrotechnics shows at The Stourbridge Festival of
Glass.
She also works as a session harpist
and has recorded in many genres including the Indian electronic pop
sounds of Bishi, the rich, melodic folk music of Rustleaf and two
soundtracks for independent films.
Rachael is always ready to discuss clients’ personal music choices,
will provide her own amplification (generally required if guests
exceed 100) and is happy to tailor her attire for themed events.
