Amicelli
Duo is a Vibrant duo of two professional Cellists Rachel Threlfall
and Hannah Monkhouse.
They have
years of experience in providing suitable music for a variety of
occasions, such as weddings, corporate functions and recitals.
Amicelli have
performed extensively throughout the U.K, recent venues include
Tower Bridge Walkways, Victoria and Albert Musuem, The National
Gallery and major London hotels including The Mandarin, The Ritz and
The Gainsbourgh.
Amicelli have a wide range of repertoire, ranging form light
Classical to Folk arrangements Tangos and Showtunes.
Rachel Threlfall
Since graduating from the Royal College of Music in 2002 Rachel is
currently, enjoying a busy freelancing career in London. She works
regularly with a variety of ensembles’ and Orchestra including,
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC
concert orchestra, London Festival Orchestra. Rachel has also
recently completed tours with English Touring Opera and the Carl
Rose Opera Company.
Rachel has made several recordings for BBC Radio, including a recent
collaboration with playwright Joanna Lawrence for Radio 3's 'The
Wire' and appearing on the sound track on BBC Radio 4's production
of Les Miserables. She has also been involved in educational
projects with members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the
Philharmonia.
Hannah Monkhouse
Hannah Monkhouse studied at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester
before moving to London to learn with Melissa Phelps at The Royal
College of Music. Since graduating in July 2003, she has been
working as a freelance orchestral player with various orchestras,
including The Southbank Sinfonia and The New Professionals. Hannah
performs regularly as a soloist and has organised her own concert
series for solo and chamber music with other musicians.
She continues
to study and have master classes with internationally acclaimed
cellists such as Johannes Goritski, Alexander Baillie, Louise
Hopkins and Moray Welsh. Hannah teaches the cello privately and in
schools, and she also enjoys singing with The New English Orchestra
Singers.
