The evening reception is an important part of the wedding day or corporate event where everybody can relax and celebrate with friends, family, work colleagues and what better way to do so than with fantastic live entertainment.

Choosing a live band can be daunting, We at Charm Music Agency are fully aware that a band can make or break your event, we provide you with an insight into what you should look for in a versatile covers band to suit your individual requirements as a professional, reliable, experienced band is every bit as important to the success of your event as a good photographer, caterer or venue.

A professional band are able to vary the type of music that they play and will strive to provide 'something for everybody', i.e. the same type of music for an entire evening will probably keep only a small proportion of your guests adequately entertained! Unless you have a themed evening then a tribute band will be perfect.

A professional band will take and interest in what you want rather than tell you what you will get (!) by discussing your requirements beforehand

The vast majority of our bands can provide live instrumental music for the pre wedding breakfast or a drinks reception.

At a pre arranged time (usually about 6pm) the band will set up their equipment with the minimum of fuss, requiring nothing more than adequate space and a mains plug socket.

The majority of bands require a minimum of 45 minutes to set up and sound check their equipment making sure that their levels are correct for the room.

Most bands will provide anything from 2 x 45 minute to 3 x 1 hour sets (depending on the individual bands) of music during the evening

Our bands are able to keep the atmosphere alive by providing CD quality music suitable for the event during any breaks - anything from classical to a 'mini disco' together with dance floor lighting where appropriate
