Your wedding day will probably be the most special and memorable of your life. Everyone has their own dreams of a perfect wedding day and whether you choose a traditional white wedding or a simple ceremony, organising this one day can be daunting.
Weddings
We are fully aware that a band can make or break your wedding day, and a professional, reliable, experienced wedding band is every bit as important to the success of your wedding as a good photographer, caterer or venue.
Choosing a live band can be daunting, advice and guidance can vary from band to band. Charm Music Agency provides you with an insight into what you should look for in a versatile wedding band to suit your individual requirements, without obligation, from the very first phone call.
The wedding ceremony
Live music at the ceremony creates a wonderful atmosphere as your guests await the brides entrance, which will be all the more magnificent after the build up provided by your musicians.
Popular choices of artist for the ceremony include a Gospel Choir, String quartet, Harpist, Singer, Pianist and Classical guitarist.
The wedding breakfast
Set the perfect relaxing atmosphere for the wedding breakfast with a smooth jazz quartet, traditional string ensemble or sophisticated harpist. These artists can usually provide additional repertoire for the afternoon events.
The Wedding Reception
The evening reception is an important part of the wedding day where everybody can relax and celebrate their wedding day with friends and family and what better way to do so than with fantastic live entertainment.
Keeping your musicians happy is important, It's traditional to provide the band members with refreshments throughout the evening.
(This usually consists of a meal/buffet and soft drinks)
The Price for our artists varies, depending on:-
How long they have been established
How many members are in the band
How much they are in demand
Travelling involved to get your event
Value for money
Bands with only a few members or newly formed will ask for lower fees as apposed to the more experienced and established bands or bands with more members.
Professional bands charging higher fees may include famous members, be travelling a considerable distance or are so in demand that they can command top fees.
Bands charging less than the fees shown may be inexperienced, using inferior equipment, quoting for shorter playing times or not including other expenses.
Venues
Check with your venue that live music is permitted and that their is enough room for the band you may have in mind.
Most wedding bands have 3 - 6 members and will be suitable or most venue size.
Arrival and set up times
Set up time ranges from 60 to 90 minutes depending on the size of the band and access to the stage area.
If the band will be playing in the same room as the wedding breakfast usually they will set up, when the room is being prepared by the venue for your evening reception. Also check if there are certain restrictions with regards to sound levels such as sound limiters and finishing times, as this is useful for the band to prepare in advance.
