RICHARD THE SINGER

Richard the Singer
BACK TO LISTING

I am a professional, versatile singer available for all types of special occasions including wedding ceremonies, wedding breakfasts, anniversaries, birthday parties, drinks receptions, cocktail parties and corporate events, I also sing at funerals.

I have a large repertoire of jazz, swing, musical theatre classics, popular ballads, Christmas songs and classical arias, and I can help you tailor the music to be perfect for your event. If you have a special song or first dance, I am more than happy to learn it for your special occasion, given enough notice.

I am based in South East London, but I will travel worldwide. To date I have performed at hundreds of events throughout the UK. I am completely self-contained, using my own high quality PA system and lighting.

Wartime Swing

2015 will see the 70th Anniversary of the end of World War II. Of course the war was a sad and horrific scar on the face of our history, during these turbulent years some brilliant and everlasting music was created. Much of the music was very upbeat with happy and positive lyrics about good times past and good times to come, with the world at war and so much suffering and misery going on, it was no surprise that people didn't want to hear sad and depressing songs!

To celebrate this Anniversary, I have over 90 minutes of music from the 1930’s and 1940’s.

If you are planning a War Anniversary celebration or a 1940’s themed event, then it would be my pleasure to sing for your event, don’t hesitate to get in touch and discuss your requirements with me.

Nathan & Louisa (private booking), One of the most emotional moments of my life

One of the most emotional moments of my life, was hearing you sing as my daughter signed the register

Mark & Heather (private booking), made the day romantic and moving for both of us

Heather and myself were absolutely delighted with your performance at our wedding. We had so many lovely comments during the day and afterwards. Your amazing voice, versatility, and charming professional manner, made the day romantic and moving for both of us. Thank you Richard

Ben & Teresa (private booking), I must say without a shadow of a doubt we made the right choice.

We were thinking of having something to entertain our wedding guest while we were doing the sometimes lengthy process of signing all the legal documents that are a necessity at weddings.

I had heard Richard sing on a few occasions and knew he would be the answer to our dilemma. I must say without a shadow of a doubt we made the right choice. Nearly all our guests (including some of the children) were talking about Richard's amazing voice and how beautiful it sounded in the church.

I noticed quite a few guests shaking his hand and congratulating him outside the church. For me he changed what would have been a very long and laborious 20 minutes into an entertaining and fulfilling 20 minutes. The only downside for us is that we didn't get to watch it ourselves (only on our wedding video a few weeks later) Richard guided us with our song choices and was happy to answer all my jittery bride questions.

John & Jeanne (private booking), Thank you for a perfect evening

Thank you for a perfect evening. A lovely mix of splendid voice, humour and charm. From standards to opera, you were much appreciated by all.

Natalia (private booking), Everyone loved you:)

Richard, I did not have time to properly thank you. Everyone loved you:) My mum can't stop talking about 'the singer' at her birthday party! Thank you so much for making it such a wonderful and memorable occasion.

Tudor Barn Eltham, Thanks for being amazing...as usual!
